This policy explains every cookie, localStorage item, and third-party tracker used by NorthBrief, its purpose, its lifetime, and whether it runs only with your consent.
You control non-essential cookies from the cookie banner on first visit, or any time after from Settings → Privacy. Your choice is stored in localStorage (nb_cookie_consent) and, if you are signed in, mirrored to your profile.
1. Essential (always on)
These run regardless of consent because they are strictly necessary to deliver the service you requested. Under ePrivacy rules, consent is not required for strictly necessary cookies.

2. Analytics (consent required)
These run only after you select "Accept all" or opt in via "Customize". They help us understand which features work and where the service breaks.

4. Third-party sub-processors

5. Changing your choice
You can change your cookie choice from Settings → Privacy or by clearing nb_cookie_consent from localStorage, which will cause the banner to reappear on next visit.
